A native New Yorker, Monica grew up as a dancer, classically trained in ballet and modern. She was also a competitive dancer for over ten years, establishing her as an athlete. Monica received her undergraduate degree in Athletic Training from The State University of New York at Stony Brook in 2008 and received her Masters of Science in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from California University of Pennsylvania in 2010.

Monica Lorenzo has worked as an Athletic Trainer for the Radio City Rockettes in Nashville, TN during the 2008 season and continued to work with the New York Christmas Spectacular until 2016. Monica has had the honor of working as an Athletic Trainer for the performance medicine staff of Cirque du Soleil Wintuk and Zarkana while stationed in NY from 2010-2012.

In 2009, Monica developed the first Athletic Training Program of its kind in the NBA for the New York Knicks Entertainment Teams at Madison Square Garden. The program follows a prevention model, providing all athletes access to an Athletic Trainer and team of health care professionals year-round.  The success of the program celebrates an over 50% reduction in injury rates since its origination.

Monica took her passion to help the athletic community of NY a step further by founding ROMO Fit, Inc. in March of 2011.  ROMO Fit, Inc. provides in house care, injury prevention and rehabilitative strength and conditioning for NY athletes. Monica is dedicated to providing the care for athletes she always dreamed to have as a dancer.  She believes in the connection our mind has with our body and optimizing that connection will allow for limitless abilities.
